Hommage à Viola Beach / Tribute to Viola Beach

Comme chaque année le dernier week-end de juin dans la campagne anglaise, un des plus grands et des plus attendus des festivals de l'année prend place : j'ai nommé Glastonbury. Cette année Glastonbury avait comme headliner des grands noms de la pop comme Adèle et Coldplay. C'est justement à propos de ces derniers que j'écris ces quelques mots. En début d'année un groupe qu'on aimait énormément ici ainsi que leur manager ont péri dans accident de voiture en Suède, alors qu'ils s'apprêtaient à faire leur première tournée mondiale comme le souligne le leader de Coldplay, Chris Martin. Ce groupe s'appelait Viola Beach et était promis à un bel avenir. Coldplay ont donc rendu hommage très émouvant au groupe pour que l'espace d'une chanson "ils headlinent Glastonbury".

As every year on the last weekend of June in British countryside, one of the biggest and the most expected festival took place : Glastonbury. This year Glastonbury had as headliners big names from pop music like Adele and Coldplay. It's actually about the British quarter that i'm writing these few words. At the begging of the year a band that we loved a lot here and their manager died in a car accident in Sweden. They were called Viola Beach and were promised to a great success. As Coldplay's leader said it, they were about to do their first world tour. Coldplay made a tribute to the band so "they can headline Glastonbury for a song".

You can as well order Viola Beach's first (and unfortunatly only) album. It was released today and it's magical. We especially recommend Call You Up and Swings and Waterslides, our favourites songs from the album.
