Gabrielle Aplin and her dreamy new single "Miss You"
C’est un peu plus d’un an après la sortie de « Light Up The Dark » que Gabrielle Aplin revient avec un nouveau titre. La chanteuse britannique de 24 ans est connue pour ses histoires mises en chansons et son évolution musicale, qui gagne en maturité en même temps qu’elle grandie. Cette semaine, Gabrielle Aplin nous dévoile un nouveau single : « Miss You ». Les premières notes nous font penser qu’on va retrouver la médolie de « English Rain », son premier album, avant que la musique devienne catchy et tropicale avec une bass omniprésente. La britannique nous raconte que « Miss You » est une chanson « sur le fait de redécouvrir son ancien soi et ses précieux rêves, désires et buts que l’ont a perdu au fil du temps ». Cette nouvelle chanson est une excellente introduction à l’EP du même nom, qui sortira le 16 décembre, qui nous est déjà présenté comme étant comme un rêve éveillé.
It’s a year after the release of « Light Up The Dark » that Gabrielle Aplin comes back with a new single. The 24-year-old british songwriter is well known for her storytelling and the evolution af her sound, gaining more maturity as she grows older. This week Gabrielle Aplin unveilled « Miss You » a song that at first makes you think about her first album « English Rain » before turning into a more tropical and catchy song with an omnipresent bassline. The British tells us the music « is about rediscovering your former self and precious dreams, desires and goals that may have got lost along the way ». The new single is a perfect introduction to the EP, which will be released december 16th, which is already presented as a « dream-like state » reality.
