Running With The Wild Things et Young & Relentless font ressortir notre envie de rebellion, alors que Roses et Demons touchent une corde sensible au fond de nous. Dan, Will et Chrissy ont définitivement fait de 2016 leur année et ont su s’imposer sur la scène musicale.

Au début du mois, nous avons posté une playlist d’artistes à écouter et The Growlers en faisait parti. Conduit par la basse, du synthé et des guitares sauvages, City Night nous emmène dans le rock des année 70. Sorti fin septembre, l’album a su rapidement se hisser dans le haut du classement des meilleurs albums de 2016.
We shared with you a playlist in a recent article where The Growlers was part of. Driven by the bass, synth and wild guitars, City Night brings us into the 70s rock. Released at the end of September, this album quickly made its place into the top of the albums of year 2016 and will stay there through 2017 too.
Parmi les grands retours de 2016, The Last Shadows Puppets ont su se faire remarquer. On reconnait directement la marque de fabrique d’Alex Turner et de Miles Kane. Arrogant et sexy l’album nous offre lui aussi un rock des années 70. Aucunes fausses notes n’est faite entre l’omniprésence des guitares et le génie lyrique. C’est exactement ce que l’on attendait et on est pas près de se lasser.

Au début de l’année, Sia nous a fait découvrir certaines chansons qu’elle avait écrite pour d’autres artistes mais qui ont été rejetées. Et on est bien content qu’elles étaient refusées car Sia nous présente un album grandiose, imposant son talent et son style. Les chansons sont puissantes, toutes destinées à être des hits avec leur message fort sur l’indépendance. D’ailleurs la fin d’année nous a aussi offert une réédition avec des titres supplémentaires, dont The Greatest, titre rendant hommage aux victimes d’Orlando.
