Hinds @ Badaboum - Live review
Public Access TV x HINDS - live in Paris
@ Badaboum - 29/02/2016
After
reviewing the greatness of their album last month one thing was for sure, I
couldn’t miss Hinds' Parisian gig.
The American band Public Access TV opened the night. At the height of our expectations, the New York band delivered us a very energetic performance, very rock’n’roll and perfect to start the night. Their fans as well as the rest of the audience had the opportunity to see how Petti Peru, In Love and Alone and their last single On location, among others, sounded live.
Et
Hinds started their set with an
unknown and lyric-less song. But it still had an impressive effect on the public:
the notes escaping their guitars increased the tension in the room. The first
chords of Trippy Gum resonated and
the public got into a trance. While the girls were singing and giving all of
their energy on stage their audience responded by dancing and singing as if their
lives were depending on it. Between every song or so, they gratified us with
anecdotes on their day or of their last Parisian show creating a bond with the
audience that they seemed to really like.
Between a
call to like Easy which made the public
totally crazy and some sweeter moments, such as when they covered When it comes to you, the Spanish
quartet perfectly showed to their audience what a rock gig on a Monday was like.
The show ended up with the popular Davey
Crockett and now we can’t wait to see them live again.
