Black Honey - Hello Today / Ghost
Black Honey a dévoilé un nouveau single récemment : Hello Today. Des vibes plus pop que rock pendant qu'Izy chante, Black Honey garde tout de même la même empreinte old school qui fait qu'on les aime tant. Cette empreinte est d'ailleurs beaucoup plus présente dans le B-side d'Hello Today : Ghost. La voix rêveuse d'Izy fait tout de même la différence dans cette fausse ballade entraînante.
Black Honey recently released Hello Today, their new single. Made with more pop rather rock vibes while Izy sings, Black Honey still their sale old school touch which makes why we love them so much. This touch is actually more present in Hello Today's B-side : Ghost. Izy's dreamy voice still makes a huge difference in this fake entertaining ballad.
Chelou - Halway to nowhere
Chelou c'est de la folk mystérieuse qui ne cesse de faire balancer notre coeur. Après n'avoir partagé pendant très longtemps que deux demos sur soundcloud, il a depuis sortit 2 EPs en 2014 et 2015. Aujourd'hui il partage Halfway To Nowhere, à mi-chemin entre la tendre folk de Chelou et l'électro de Naya Jane Coles qui a produit la chanson. Dans cette chanson Chelou dépeins principalement la frustration qu'il ressentait dans sa vie à l'époque, alors qu'il ne cherchait qu'à essayer d'y échapper pour être plus créatif.
Chelou's mysterious folk is making our heart swing one more time. After only sharing only two demos on soundcloud for a very long time, he has now released two EPs in 2014 and 2015. Today he shares Halfway to Nowhere, cross way between his tender folk and Naya Jane Coles' electronic who produced the song. In this song Chelou mainly depict the frustration he felt in his life back them, while he only tried to escape somewhere to be more creative.
The Japanese House - Good Side In
L'australienne qui est derrière The Japanese House a le talent de produire des chansons de pop rêveuses toutes aussi surprenantes les unes que les autres. Good Side In est une petite merveille indescriptible, et c'est pour cela qu'on ne peut que vous conseiller de l'écouter, encore et encore, pour le bonheur de vos oreilles (et de vous-même aussi). D'ailleurs si vous ne l'avez pas croisée l'hiver dernier en premier partie de The 1975 il est toujours temps de vous rattrapez et d'aller admirer son talent en live la semaine prochaine au Pop Up du Label pour les français et à La Rotonde pour les belges.
The Australian girl behind The Japanese House has the talent to produce some dreamy pop songs, each one as surprising as the other. Good Side In is an indescriptible wonder, and this is why we advise you to listen to it, again and again, for the good of your ears (and for your own good too). And if you missed her last winter when she was opening for The 1975 on their European tour, you can still go admire and support here next week in Paris at Le Pop Up du Label and/or in Brussels at La Rotonde.
Beach Weather - Sex, Drugs, Etc.
Après avoir créé le groupe A Rocket To The Moon en 2006 et sorti deux albums sous ce nom, Nick Santino s'est lancé dans une carrière solo. C'est sous le nom de Nick Santino and The Northern Wind qu'il a sorti un album. Cette carrière solo s'est arrêté en août 2015 quand l'américain décide de refonder un groupe : Beach Weather. Rejoint par Austin Scates et Reeve Powers, le trio sort quelques mois plus tard l'EP What A Drag. Mais c'est ce vendredi que le groupe sort Chit Chat, un EP rassemblant six chansons qu'ils ont déjà joué sur scène, au cours de la tournée européenne de Against The Current. Sex, Drugs, Etc nous raconte que l'anxiété n'est pas une mode mais belle et bien une maladie à prendre au sérieux, sujet très cher au chanteur : "anxiety isn't a fashion accessory, it's not cool, it actually sucks really bad".
Nick Santino was first part of the band A Rocket To The Moon, with whom he released two albums before pursuing a solo career under the name of Nick Santino and The Northern Wind. He also released a full length album before having the idea to found a new band in August 2015 : Beach Weather. Austin Scates and Reeve Powers came into the frame and together they recorded the EP What A Drag, late 2015. But it's this Friday that the trio released Chit Chat, a EP gathering six songs the fans already got the chance to watch them perform during the European tour with Against The Current. Sex, Drugs, Etc is a song about a personal experience, about how anxiety is real and it shouldn't be used as a fashion trend : "anxiety isn't a fashion accessory, it's not cool, it actually sucks really bad".
